Stanley Lee Walker Jr.

Stanley Lee Walker Jr., 67, of Kingston, Oklahoma, was born on July 13, 1959, in Waco, Texas, to Stanley Lee Walker Sr. and Vida Lou Amburn Walker. At an early age, he moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma, where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1979. Stanley spent most of his life in Midwest City before moving to Madill, Oklahoma, in 2013. He had made his home in Kingston during the last few months.

Stanley was a familiar face along the roads of his community. He enjoyed walking, working at the car wash, and visiting with the people he met along the way. Those everyday conversations were a meaningful part of his life. To some, he was the man they often saw walking down the road; to those who knew and loved him, he was a father, grandfather, brother, and companion whose life held a special place in theirs.

Stanley’s memory will live on through his daughter, Tiffany Walker and her husband, John, of Kingston, Oklahoma; his six grandchildren, Bentleigh, John Jr., Axl, Gunner, Alyssa, and Madilyn; his brother, Tommy Walker and his wife, Sandra, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his sister, Alethea Vanlandingham, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his life companion, Patricia Thomas, of Madill, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Kenneth and Justin Walker; sister, Belinda Eakes and niece Amy Moomey.

As family and friends remember Stanley, may the familiar sight of him along the road bring back memories of a visit, a conversation, and a life that mattered. He will be remembered with love.
